– performance of the rental contract (GDPR 6/1-b),
– legitimate interest of the lessor for property protection (GPS tracking) (GDPR 6/1-f).

– processing reservations,

– ensuring vehicle safety and protection (GPS),
– resolving potential disputes.
4. Data Retention
Data is retained:
– rental data: 5 years,
– GPS data: maximum 30 days after vehicle return, except in case of dispute or damage incident.

– delete data (when there is no legal obligation to retain it),
– object to data processing (especially GPS tracking, if no longer necessary for vehicle safety).
