Snežnik Castle
Snežnik Castle is considered one of Slovenia’s best-preserved castles, with a fairytale appearance and picturesque location at the foot of Snežnik. Guided tours of the interior provide a unique insight into 19th-century noble life. The castle is surrounded by beautiful grounds that can be explored on foot along the “In the Footsteps of Animals” nature trail. Nearby, castle outbuildings offer apartments and a bar for refreshments.

Križna Gora

Križna Cave
One of Slovenia’s most beautiful water caves, Križna Cave is famous for its exceptional natural preservation, underground lakes, and rich stalactite formations. Slivnica

Nova Štifta
Nova Štifta, overlooking the Ribnica Valley, is known for its artistically significant Church of the Assumption of Mary, the center of a rich pilgrimage tradition. The church is one of the finest examples of Baroque architecture in Slovenia, recognizable by its octagonal plan, grand dome, and richly decorated interior. A special feature is four linden trees, including one unique tree with a hut for up to twenty people hidden in its crown.
