8 unforgettable tracks for buggy exploration

Each track is tailored to different preferences and levels of adventure, designed to lead you to the natural and cultural gems of our region, where you can stop, take in the views, and experience something unique. Navigation for the tracks is provided before the ride, both on a GPS device and in printed form.

Iška Flow

The track first takes you through forest clearings in the Bloke municipality to Lake Bloke. From there, you continue through peaceful villages until you reach the path along the Iška River. Along the way, you’ll find plenty of spots to refresh or enjoy a relaxing walk in nature. When the track becomes impassable by vehicle, you turn back and return the same way. In the village of Volčje, you then follow another pleasant forest track that leads to the hilltop above Nova vas, and from there to the end of the track.

Slivnica Postcard

From Bloke, you head towards Loška dolina and descend all the way to the entrance point for Križna Cave. From here, the route takes you to the village of Bločice, from where a picturesque ascent to mighty Slivnica begins. When you conquer the peak, stunning views of the Cerknica valley await you. Before completing the track, you descend from Slivnica back to Bloke.

Castle & Cave Mystery

First, you descend through the peaceful forests of Bloke into Loška dolina. The track continues to Snežnik Castle, one of the most beautiful castles in Slovenia. From there, it climbs up to Križna gora before descending to the entrance of the famous Križna Cave, and finally returns back to Bloke.

Sodražica Views

From the forest silence of Bloke, you descend into the Sodražica Valley to the picturesque Kadice Gorge. From there, the track takes you to the Smrekovec Pond and then climbs up to Nova Štifta. You continue across Travna Gora to the local mountain lodge, before the track leads you through the idyllic villages of Gora, where stunning views of the Sodražica Valley open up, and finally returns you back to Bloke.

Lake & Witchery Safari

This adventure through the heart of Notranjska first takes you from Bloke along forest paths down to Loška dolina and the entrance point of the world-famous Križna Cave. From there, the track continues along the edge of the intermittent Lake Cerknica, a natural wonder that amazes in every season. Passing through the town of Cerknica, you embark on a scenic and thrilling climb up Slivnica, where breathtaking views of the Cerknica plain await. Before returning to Bloke, the track descends from Slivnica and takes you past the serene Lake Bloke.

Snežnik Diagonal

The adventure begins along forest paths leading to Loška dolina. From there, the track ascends to Babno Polje, known as the coldest inhabited village in Slovenia. The track then winds through woodlands past Leskova dolina, continuing all the way to Snežnik Castle, one of the country’s most picturesque landmarks. From here, it takes you along the foothills of Križna gora to the entrance of Križna Cave. To finish, you ascend back to Bloke through scenic forest trails.

Trail of Seven Wonders

This track takes you across the most stunning corners of Notranjska. It begins with forest clearings of Bloke and leads you to the picturesque Lake Bloke, continuing toward Loška dolina and the entrance to Križna Cave. From there, the journey takes you up to Križna gora and then on to Snežnik Castle, which reflects like a fairytale in its castle pond. The track continues to Lake Cerknica and into Rakov Škocjan, with its natural bridge and dramatic stone passages shaped over millennia. Finally, the adventure culminates with an ascent to Slivnica, the “witches’ mountain,” where breathtaking views open over the Cerknica valley, before descending back past Lake Bloke.

RENT A BUGGY

Grand Tour of Notranjska

This track takes you across the most beautiful corners of Notranjska. It first leads you through the forest clearings of Bloke to the popular Lake Bloke. From there, you head toward Loška dolina, passing the entrance to Križna Cave and continuing up to Križna gora, before descending to the enchanting Snežnik Castle. The track then climbs to Babno Polje, the coldest village in Slovenia, and follows secluded forest paths back into Loška dolina. From here, the journey continues to the magical intermittent Lake Cerknica, before leading you on a scenic ride to Rakov Škocjan. Finally, you ascend Slivnica – the witches’ mountain – where stunning views of the Cerknica valley await, before descending back toward Bloke.

This track differs from the Trail of Seven Wonders by adding a climb to Babno Polje and a return through the forests of Loška dolina to Snežnik Castle.

Where can I see the track map?

You will receive the map before the ride, both on a GPS device and in printed form.

How do I know how long a track will take?

Each track includes an estimated driving time at a moderate speed with only a few very short stops. If you plan to take longer breaks along the way, you’ll need to add that time to the estimate. Please note that due to many factors, the exact duration of the ride is difficult to predict.

What if I don’t return from the track within my rental time?

Please make sure to return the buggy within the agreed rental period, as the next guest may already be waiting. If there are no other bookings after yours and we are still within operating hours, you can extend your ride, with the additional time charged according to our regular price list.

What if I choose a track but then change my mind?

You don’t need to select a specific track before the ride, as you’ll receive a map of all tracks, which you can freely combine. You can also set out on your own route, as long as it follows the rental terms.

Do you guarantee the accuracy of navigation and track passability?

The tracks have been driven multiple times, and the navigation has been tested. However, in accordance with the rental terms, we cannot be held responsible for any deviations or inaccuracies in the navigation data, or for the condition of the tracks on the ground.

What about mobile signal on your tracks?

Most of our tracks have mobile coverage. Signal is generally unavailable along the remote forest paths in the far southern section from Babno Polje past Leskova dolina (on the Snežnik Diagonal and Grand Tour of Notranjska tracks).

Do you offer guided rides?

We currently do not offer guided rides, as we provide pre-designed tracks along with a GPS device. This allows you to fully enjoy a private adventure and follow your own preferences, while still being guided by the GPS.
